To accompany next-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Rockstar games will be releasing limited edition collections of the game’s star-studded soundtrack on both CD and Vinyl, in collaboration with Mass Appeal Records.
‘The Music of Grand Theft Auto V’ limited edition collections include 59 tracks across the game’s 17 radio stations with music from A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Toro Y Moi, Jai Paul, Flying Lotus, and many more. In addition, these limited editions will feature the original score composed by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist & Oh No, mixed by DJ Shadow.
The vinyl collection is the choice here and will feature a total of six colored records, booklet and an exclusive lithograph poster in a classic box-set, although the CD collection is the only way to get hold of an exclusive gold brick-shaped USB Drive, see below.
As well as this release the new game editions will feature new additional radio content with our personal favourite ‘FlyLo FM’ featuring new cuts from MF DOOM, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs as well as the existing stellar selection like this one from the late DJ Rashad. Earlier this week Flying Lotus even premiered a brand new track from the update featuring Bone Thugs-N-Harmony‘s Krayzie Bone called ‘Meditation Medication‘ which features a brilliant flip of Alain Goraguer‘s much sampled ‘La Planète Sauvage’.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions landed on November 18th, while the PC version hits shelves on January 27th, 2015.
